HP 15s - i3 11th Gen, 4GB RAM, 1000GB HDD

Cheapest machine currently on the shelf, and the description is going to stay blunt. Four gigabytes of memory with Windows 11 means one task at a time. Typing, browsing, watching, filling forms, printing: fine. Several heavy programs at once: no. The 1TB mechanical drive is slow to start up but holds a great deal, which for a household storing photographs and films is often the more useful trade. Cosmetically there are two scratches on the panel and a blemish near the centre, a worn number pad, one key cap that sits slightly loose while still working, and cracked plastic near the hinge that does not affect opening or closing. The battery is very weak and this should be used plugged in. All ports work. What it is genuinely good for is a first laptop for a school student, a spare machine for a shop, or a household that needs something for paperwork and video calls. Adding memory later would improve it a great deal, and the module is socketed rather than soldered to the board. We would rather you came and used it for ten minutes at the counter than bought it on the strength of the price alone, because at four gigabytes the limits are real.
