Networking and Cabling in Udaipur
LAN cabling, switches, routers and Wi-Fi coverage for offices and shops in Udaipur.
Wiring an office so it stays wired
Most network problems in a small office are not the internet connection. They are the cabling: a cable crimped badly two years ago, a switch sitting under a desk with a chair leg on it, or a Wi-Fi router at one end of a long room trying to reach a laptop at the other.
The work covers:
- LAN cabling — running network cable from a central point to each desk, printer, camera or counter, through conduit or trunking so it is not lying across a floor
- Termination and testing — sockets, patch panels and patch cords made off properly and tested, so a fault later can be found instead of guessed at
- Switches and routers — sizing and installing the switch the office actually needs, and setting up the router so the connection is shared sensibly
- Wi-Fi coverage — placing access points so the far end of the office, the first floor or the back godown is actually usable, rather than adding another router and hoping
- Shared printers and drives — the reason most small offices want a network in the first place: everyone printing to one printer, and files in one place rather than on one person's desktop
- Faults on an existing network — one desk that drops out, a section of the office that has gone dead, or a network that became slow when more people were added
Cabling for CCTV and phones
Network cable now carries more than computers. Cameras and IP phones run over the same cabling, which means it is usually cheaper and much tidier to plan all three together than to run three sets of wire through the same building at three different times. If you are having CCTV or an EPABX installed, say so at the start.
Who this is for
Offices, showrooms, clinics, schools, hotels and small factories in Udaipur — anywhere that has outgrown one router in a corner. New premises being fitted out are the easiest, because the cable can go in before the false ceiling and the furniture do.
Getting a quote
Send a message on WhatsApp with the number of points you need and roughly the size and layout of the place — a floor plan photo, even a hand-drawn one, is the most useful thing you can send. For anything larger than a few points the site is usually worth visiting first.
