CCTV Installation in Udaipur

CCTV cameras, recorders, cabling and phone viewing set up for homes, shops and offices in Udaipur.

What a CCTV job involves

A camera on a wall is the smallest part of a CCTV installation. The parts that decide whether the system is any use are the ones nobody looks at afterwards: where the cameras point, how the cable runs, what the recorder stores, and how long it keeps it.

A typical installation is:

  • A site visit — walking the shop, house, office or godown to work out how many cameras are needed and where they should go. Entrances, the till, the store room and the parking are usually the places worth covering; corridors and empty walls usually are not.
  • The cameras — indoor and outdoor, fixed and dome, day and night. Which type suits a position depends on the light, the distance and whether the camera has to survive rain and dust.
  • The recorder — a DVR or NVR with a hard disk sized for how many days of footage you want to keep. How many days that is depends on the number of cameras and their resolution, and it is worth deciding deliberately rather than accepting whatever the box came with.
  • Cabling and power — running cable neatly, through conduit where it is exposed, and powering the recorder so a power cut does not lose you the recording.
  • Viewing on a phone — the part most people actually use. The recorder is connected to your internet and set up so the cameras can be opened from a mobile, and you are shown how to do it before we leave.

Where these go in

Shops and showrooms, houses and apartments, offices, schools, hotels and guest houses, godowns and small factories, and building entrances and parking areas — anywhere in and around Udaipur.

Adding to a system you already have

Not every job is a new installation. Cameras that have stopped recording, a recorder whose disk has filled or failed, a system whose phone viewing stopped working after the internet connection changed, or a set-up that needs two more cameras on the back gate — all of that is the same work.

Ask before you buy

Send a message on WhatsApp describing the place and roughly how many cameras you think you need — a photo or a rough sketch of the layout helps more than a paragraph. Or come into the shop in Udaipur and talk it through.

Ask about this

Describe what you need in your own words. A photo or a short video of the problem usually says more than a paragraph.
