EPABX and Intercom Systems in Udaipur

What an EPABX system does

An EPABX is the small exchange that sits between the phone lines coming into a building and the phones inside it. It is what lets a hotel put a phone in every room, a factory reach the store from the office without anyone walking, and a clinic transfer a caller from reception to a doctor's room instead of asking them to call a second number.

Two things it gives you that separate mobiles do not:

• Internal calls that cost nothing. Extension to extension, over your own wiring.
• One number that people outside dial. Calls arrive at reception and are transferred to whoever should take them, rather than every department printing a different number.

The work involved

• Working out how many extensions are needed now, and how many the building will want later — an exchange is sized once and lived with for years
• Installing the exchange, the extension wiring and the phone points
• Configuring extension numbers, how incoming calls ring, and how calls are transferred and put on hold
• Intercom points — a handset at a gate, a store room, a shop floor or a reception desk, connected to the same system
• Showing the people who will actually use it how to transfer a call, because a system nobody has been shown becomes a phone that only rings at one desk

Existing systems

An EPABX that has stopped working, extensions that have gone dead, a system that survived a power surge, or one that needs more extensions added after an office expanded — all of that is the same work as a new installation, and often less of it.

Who uses these

Hotels and guest houses, hospitals and clinics, schools and colleges, offices with several departments, factories and godowns with an office at one end and work at the other, and showrooms with a counter and a back office — in Udaipur and the surrounding area.

Ask first

Send a message on WhatsApp saying how many extensions you need and what kind of building it is, and we can talk about what suits. For a hotel or a factory it is usually worth seeing the site, because the wiring is most of the job.
