Computer Repair and AMC in Udaipur

Desktop and computer repair

A desktop fails differently from a laptop. The parts are larger, easier to reach and easier to replace, so the question is usually which one has gone rather than whether the machine is worth opening.

The usual work is a computer that will not boot, a machine that has become slow enough that people have stopped using it properly, a hard disk that is failing, a power supply that has died and taken the machine down with it, RAM that has gone faulty, a display that shows nothing, or an operating system that needs reinstalling and setting up again with the software the office actually uses. Adding an SSD to an old desktop is one of the most common jobs, because it changes how a machine feels more than any other single part.

AMC — annual maintenance contract

An AMC is an arrangement for a business that runs several machines and does not want to find a technician each time one of them stops. Instead of calling around when something breaks, the computers are covered under one agreement.

What an AMC typically covers:

• The desktops, laptops and printers on the premises, listed at the start so both sides know what is included
• Checking and cleaning machines so that dust, heat and failing disks are found before they stop somebody working
• Attending to faults as they come up, rather than as separate one-off jobs
• Keeping track of which machine has which fault history, which is what tells you when a computer should be replaced instead of repaired again

The terms — how often visits happen, what is included and what is charged separately, and the price — are agreed with you directly. This page does not state them, because they depend on how many machines there are, where they are, and what they are used for.

Who this is for

Offices, shops, clinics, schools, hotels and small factories in Udaipur running anywhere from three computers to a few dozen. If one machine going down means somebody cannot bill, cannot print or cannot work, that is the situation an AMC exists for.
