Dell Inspiron 3511 - i3 11th Gen, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD

First laptop for a college student, or a second machine at home that everyone shares. The Inspiron 3511 is the consumer version of the Vostro sitting beside it, and this one has an 11th generation Core i3, 8GB and a 256GB SSD, which is the point where a cheap laptop stops feeling cheap. It starts in seconds, handles online classes and assignments without drama, and the 15.6-inch screen is easy on the eyes for long sessions. We found no marks on the panel. There are light scuffs on the lid and a little shine on the space bar. HDMI was confirmed by connecting it to a television, which is how most families here actually use that port. Storage is the thing to think about, because 256GB fills up quickly once photographs and downloads accumulate, so plan on an external drive or ask us about a larger one. Every laptop here is tested before it goes on sale, and this one passed cleanly. If it is being bought for someone starting a course, come in and let them type on it first. Keyboard feel is personal and it is the one thing a specification sheet cannot tell you.
