Acer Aspire 3 - Ryzen 3 3250U, 4GB RAM, 1000GB HDD

The lowest price on the page and an honest account of what that buys. This Aspire 3 has a dual-core Ryzen 3 3250U, four gigabytes of memory and a 1TB mechanical drive. It starts slowly, it runs one job at a time comfortably, and it will feel sluggish if you push it. What it will do reliably is typing, browsing, online classes, watching video, printing and form filling, on a 15.6-inch screen with a number pad. Cosmetically it has had a hard life: a scratch near the lower right of the panel, two smaller marks elsewhere, faded lettering on several keys, heavy scuffing and a small crack in the plastic near the vent. One USB-A port is slightly loose. The battery is very weak and this should be treated as a plug-in machine. We would rather sell this to someone who reads all of that and still wants it than to someone who only reads the price. Tested before sale, like everything else in the shop. The one upgrade worth considering is more memory. Nothing else will change what this machine fundamentally is, and that is worth knowing before spending anything further on it.
